Wake Forest University’s Center for Energy, Environment, and Sustainability is launching a new logo. The organization, now in its second year,  works to promote critical thinking and effective action in sustainability research, policy and practices. The organization is an interdisciplinary group with board members from several different departments on campus.

“We wanted a logo that reflected the three areas of the Center – energy, environment, and sustainability – and one that showed that they were all interrelated. The new logo really nails that,” said CEES Director Miles Silman.

CEES is working to increase their visibility on campus especially with students. The increased awareness will only help strengthen the group’s mission.

“People, especially young people, really feel an imperative to make the world a better place, and they see sustainability as one of the places where they can make a difference,” said Silman. CEES is a way to take those desires and turn them into action.  It is a great outlet for the campus community, and the logo gives it a face, and that helps people engage.
