Meiburg’s Fresh Perspective on Upcoming Changes in EPA
Since the results of the U.S. Presidential Election were announced, professionals across the environmental space have been abuzz with speculation around how the new administration will affect work on climate and sustainability. Our Executive Director Stan Meiburg, who capped his 39-year career with the EPA as Acting Deputy Administrator under President Obama, has been in high demand in recent weeks to share his unique perspective. Meiburg has spoken with 16 journalists to date, representing a broad range of media outlets, including ABC News, Politico, Vox, The Hill, WCPT-AM in Chicago, and more. His experience as the EPA “Chief Operating Officer” provides exceptional insight into how political visions and promises may or may not translate into meaningful policy change once talk turns into action. Meiburg penned an op-ed to weigh in on Trump’s pick of Lee Zeldin for EPA administrator. In addition to the op-ed, Meiburg has been quoted in a variety of news outlets since the election. As the inauguration draws closer, we’ve rounded up the media coverage highlighting Meiburg’s distinct point of view.
