Planet and People
Sabin Center-affiliated researchers understand the indelible connections between biodiversity, resource conservation, ecosystem services, and human welfare. We work at the leading-edge of these fields and at the intersections between them, thinking transdisciplinarily about solutions to the great issues of our time. Our work addresses complex and urgent global challenges such as the impact of climate change on developing nations, the decline of biodiversity in remote areas, and the threat of industry to wildlife.
The Biodiversity & Ecosystems Services Group, one of the Sabin Center’s three core research groups, is responsible for the majority of work in this area. Affiliates in the arts and humanities make significant contributions to our understanding of the relationship between humans and the environment.
